Overview

YouTube Rotate Pro ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none) and how we use it.

Data We Collect

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

• Your last rotation angle (e.g., 90°)
• Flip state (horizontal / vertical)
• UI preferences (overlay position, opacity)
• Channel list for auto-rotate feature

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, third party, or cloud service.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, etc.)
• No browsing history
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No cookies
• No video content or YouTube account data

Permissions Used

• storage — save your rotation preferences locally
• activeTab — access the current YouTube tab to apply rotation
• scripting — inject the CSS rotation transform into the video element
• tabs — detect whether you are currently on YouTube

These permissions are the minimum required for the Extension to function. No other permissions are requested.

Third-Party Services

The Extension uses Google Fonts (Inter + Material Symbols) for its UI. These are loaded from Google's CDN. Google's own privacy policy applies to those requests.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
